Tamaraws are big, black animals. It is the second largest native terrestrial mammal in the country next to carabaos. They have short horns on the head but somewhat V-shaped. It is a special body part because most animals don't have horns. It eats grass and bamboo shoots. They are herbivores.

It is endemic in Mindoro, Philippines. Tamaraws prefer tropical highland forested areas. It also one of the endangered
species. They walk and run with their legs. They use their horns for self-defense. And they also use their mouth for eating.
